State Park with some free parking (but not near the beach). Really great beach, big lawns for kite flying, also hiking and interesting abandoned bunkers.

Fort Worden is right in the City of Port Townsend. A wonderful beach, a marine science center, hiking trails, campground, conference center, host to music festivals through Centrum and much more. My favorite place to walk. If you don't have a State Park Pass, you can park for free in front of the large grassy area at the entrance.

This fort is similar to Fort Casey, located on the north tip of Port Townsend.
