London Fields Lido

It’s in trendy Hackney, heated, and open all year until 9 pm—no wonder this 50m pool wonder is so popular. Queues can stretch round the block in summer. The pool itself is a glory in any season, but for me it has a special magic on floodlit winter nights, when steam rises off the water into the darkness. The pool is an outdoor swimming success story. It was saved from demolition by a dedicated 18-year campaign and reopened in 2006. There’s a café, with more reasonable prices than many others in the area, and a large sunbathing area too.
If you fancy a swim, the London Fields lido is one of the only public outdoor heated swimming pools in London. Very refreshing in the city.
One of the most happening parks in London and one of the only places you can BBQ in the park. It's very social in summer and has a great, young atmosphere, especially on the weekends
This is a nice and local outdoors swimming pool, and it's heated so you can swim throughout winter. In the summer be mindful it gets very busy so choose your slot carefully (the earlier in the day the better)
Restored outdoor heated lido. Get that swimming costume out! Very busy on hot summer days.
Beautiful park. Great place to hang out with friends on the weekends, or even a sunny evening midweek.
Fantastic and Respectful Dog Walkers, family friendly, students. A real cosmopolitan rich area.
“Market on Saturdays, lovely to visit the market and go for a nice stroll in the park afterwards.”

“Biased as my friend Ben the Baker runs this brilliant bakery/cafe near London Fields. Arguably the best bread in London, great food and organic produce for sale. Good for breakfast, lunch. meeting friends or working on your laptop. ”

“Come here on Sunday. It’s true, the market gets very crowded, but it’s lovely to come here and hear the sellers scream how beautiful their peonies are, or to hear the many musicians playing around the market!”

“Victoria Park is one of London's most important historic parks. It's a beautiful place to spend some time - you can walk or cycle the circumference, stopping for a coffee and cake at the lovely Pavilion cafe, with a view of the lake, or at the Royal Inn on the Park for something stronger. You can take pedalos out on the lake in summer, and during those months there are often fairs or big concerts taking place in the park. Even in winter it's lovely for a stroll, and on a Sunday it hosts a great food market where you can easily spend a few hours (and plenty of cash!).”
