Columbia Road Flower Market

I love going to see the gorgeous flowers in an array of colours, and to feel the bustling vibe. There is often live music, and couples and families strolling around. You always see people around east London with flowers wrapped in brown paper and you know they’ve been to Columbia Road. The street is also full of independent shops full of creativity. They start setting up at 4 am and open at 8 am, though I’ve never made it there before 12 noon.
Perhaps the best smelling market in London! Not only that you will find here an incredible variety of flowers, but there is a mass of independent shops too, selling everything from jewellery and vintage clothes, to antiques etc. Open only on Sunday at 8am - 3 pm.
If you are up for it, walking up to Columbia Road Flower market (every Sunday) is also worth a trip (about a 25-minute walk towards Shoreditch) as if you haven’t been before it’s a real experience and also the best quality and cheapest flowers you can buy in London!
Check this old London flower market out on a Sunday. Grab a coffee from one of the many cafes down there and enjoy the flowers and the buzz of people. My tip would be to get there later on as it is less crowded. Definitively after 2pm.
8-2pm on Sunday. This place is fun to see the flower market, grab a coffee, croissant or bagel and see some great independent shops. Arrive early to avoid the crowding especially if it’s a sunny day.
Come here on Sunday. It’s true, the market gets very crowded, but it’s lovely to come here and hear the sellers scream how beautiful their peonies are, or to hear the many musicians playing around the market!
Best place to hear locals sell you flowers! Wander around, grab a coffee and visit the shops around as well.
“Market on Saturdays, lovely to visit the market and go for a nice stroll in the park afterwards.”

“Victoria Park is one of London's most important historic parks. It's a beautiful place to spend some time - you can walk or cycle the circumference, stopping for a coffee and cake at the lovely Pavilion cafe, with a view of the lake, or at the Royal Inn on the Park for something stronger. You can take pedalos out on the lake in summer, and during those months there are often fairs or big concerts taking place in the park. Even in winter it's lovely for a stroll, and on a Sunday it hosts a great food market where you can easily spend a few hours (and plenty of cash!).”

“Situated in the heart of Shoreditch, Brick Lane Market has grown and mutated over the years. Operating at its fullest on Sundays, Brick Lane and its surrounding streets come alive, teeming with sellers shifting their wares. Why not hunt for a baragain within the bric-a-brac at this bustling East End market, bursting full of antiques, stunning fabtrics and kitsch collections. ”
