NewBo City Market

NewBo is an indoor year round market. The surrounding neighborhood has a plethora of brewery's. There are a number of festivals and events here and it's right across the river from Czech Village.
Great place to people watch, browse, or buy. Local food and goods, beer/wine, and almost always something going on in the neighborhood.
Great place to stop in and see the market. Feel free to shop a bit, grab a beer while you walk around the market, and/or sneak a snack or go to town on a full meal at any of the kiosks.
If you want an expansive selection of amazing, high quality foods while also exploring one of the fastest growing areas in Cedar Rapids, Go HERE. Newbo Market is full of popup restaurants and local artisan booths. If you like variety and don't feel like choosing one restaurant, go here. It's great…

Built in the architecturally extravagant 1920's, the theatre annually hosts concerts, fundraisers, corporate meetings, dance recitals and a Broadway Series. The Theatre is home to Orchestra Iowa, the region’s premier symphony orchestra. ”

“One of my favorite places listed on here! Easily the best atmosphere, decor, and well put together bar/restaurant. Much more classy and up scale compared to the rest. Slightly expensive for bar & restaurant but well worth it for the unique food and experience. Most people arrive here for a late night dinner and turn it into late hour drinks. ”

“Let’s just start with the beauty of this museum, inside and out there is art, artistry and local vistas to be taken in for the duration of your visit. This museum was effected by the 2008 flood experienced by Cedar Rapids. Afterward, the museum was moved up the hill to its current location keeping it safe from future flooding. The museum not only celebrates the culture, history and traditions of the Czech and Slovak community that settled in Cedar Rapids, it also works closely with new immigrant communities in the area to ensure their representation in our community. Worth a visit, plan to spend at least 2-3 hours here. ”
