If you're looking for authentic Japanese food made with love, look no further. Magokoro's presence in this area fills my heart AND my stomach when I'm craving tonkatsu (which is often). If you want a sweet treat afterward, head a few doors down to their sister store, Tonari No Mise.

There's a small, but vibrant asian community here in ABQ. One of the surprises is Magokoro, a Japanese café where every dish is 'food from the heart.' They have a lunch and a dinner menu, with the lunch featuring typical foods from cutlets to terriyakis, and it's at night when they bring out their noodle dishes, with Ramen that outshines anything I've found in So Cal. Go here with a maximum of 4. The seating is minuscule, and there'll be a wait.
