Great casual spot for well-done Cajun cuisine (alligator, rabbit, cochon de lait). (It's much better than your typical "cajun" tourist-class restaurant you'll find in the French Quarter.)

Located in the Warehouse District, this is a sandwich shop attached to the flagship Cochon restaurant. They butcher all their meats on site and fill their sandwiches with local ingredients. Their Brussel sprouts are to die for and their "Pig-Mac" sandwich will leave you satisfied all day.

Chef Donald Link serves the flavors of Cajun country in a rustic yet contemporary setting. Cochon means "pig" in French, so it's no surprise that the pork dishes served here are stellar. Favorites: Rabbit & Dumplings, Louisiana Cochon & Cracklins
