For years, artist Jose Rodriguez Fuster has worked with the community of Jaimanita to give new life to the exteriors of 80 buildings. His colorful mosaic work is in a naive style, something like Antoni Gaudi, yet with a very Cuban aesthetic. His project has helped the community by bringing tourists’ attention and dollars to the neighborhood. You can see Fuster’s work on 80 renovated homes in this neighborhood.
