Café Fríða is more than a café - it is a local food experience and storytelling café, where guest will feel right at home and the culture of the Northern Faroe Isles. You will find more information about Fríða Kaffihús here: www.frida.fo. The café is named after the first boat built by the Faroese people 250 years ago. Royndin Fríða was a boat built by pioneer Nólsoyar Páll, illegally and in hiding. Today it is recognized to have had great significance for the Faroe Islands. The café is located in the center of Klaksvik and in the weekends you can find cultural and musical events in the café. This is where rebels and heroes met, where men and women gathered to discuss new ideas. You will feel the great entrepreneur spirit of Klaksvik, which still flourishes today.
