Some cool trails. I have fished out of the lake once or twice. It's a 10-15 minute drive.

This is a very large state park with two major entrances. You can hike all day, boat on a lake, or picnic. Some trails are used for horseback riding and trail bike riding.

A bit of a drive to get here but a wide array of trails and ties into the Greenway Trails that link a large portion of the Triangle area together.
