Betws-y-Coed is a beautiful, vibrant village and is known as the the gateway to Snowdonia. This magical setting has a distinctly Alpine feel enhanced by the dense Gwydyr Forest surrounding it. There is lots to do - Forest walks, River walks, Swallow Falls Waterfall, lots of quirky shops (best place to buy hiking and mountaineering gear) and some great pubs and restaurants. Betws y Coed is approx 35 min drive away or a lovely scenic train trip

Betws-y-coed; English: prayer house in the wood is a village and community in the Conwy valley in Conwy County Borough, Wales, located in the historic county of Caernarfonshire, right on the boundary with Denbighshire, in the Gwydir Forest. It is now a very popular visitor destination in the Snowdonia National Park
