Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is one of Scotland's most popular free attraction. Kelvingrove has 22 themed, state-of-the-art galleries displaying an astonishing 8000 objects.
A gem of a an Art Gallery with world famous paintings by the Great Masters of the Impressionist era as well as some uniquely GLASGOW artifacts. You will not be disappointed. Be sure to arrive at least two hours before closing time at 5.00 pm and the best thing, it’s free!
THE gallery to visit and it's free! Check out the daily organ recital at 1pm (3pm on Sundays), nice café and shop on the lower level
Personally my favourite museum in Glasgow. You can spend a few hours or a few days here. Great for the solo traveller and families.
“Riverside Museum is Glasgow's award-winning transport museum. With over 3,000 objects on display there's everything from skateboards to locomotives, paintings to prams and cars to a Stormtrooper. Get hands on with our interactive displays. Walk through Glasgow streets and visit the shops, bar and subway. Climb aboard a train, tram or bus and get a real feel for old public transport. Discover Glasgow's rich shipbuilding history, explore the car and motorbike walls and help put out a fire with our interactive fire engine. There are over 90 large touch screens panels full of images, memories and films that tell the fascinating stories behind the objects. There really is something for all ages to enjoy at the Riverside Museum.”

“One of Glasgow's most loved parks. It's a place for joggers, walkers, parents with strollers, and lots of students pretending to study as they enjoy the nature around them. ”

“One of Britain’s great and ancient Universities in the most beautiful setting of any University in the world. See it for yourself and wonder around it’s outer cloisters, explore the walks and stunning views around the University and visit the Hunterian Museum and see interiors by Glasgow’s most famous son, Charles Renee Mackintosh.”
