A lovely area to walk to along a boarded path (carparks available if not on foot) .....impressive, mature gardens with magnolia and azalea trees and even giant wild rhubarb! Stroll around the lakes , visit a real blacksmith and explore the craft shops and Manor house. Cockington village is thatched mainly and very charming.

It has lovely walks, lakes, woods, open spaces, to relax or play and a tea shop, plus a craft centre with an amazing range of hand made items.

Cockington Village and Cockington Court are great for family day's out. Cockington Court offers crafts and shops, as well as a tea room.

Cockington Court is the old manor house that sits at the centre of Cockington Country park. This is a wonderful place to stretch the legs and explore. There are hidden delights such as the series of lakes and the old Saxon Church and there are surprises such as the modern craft studios that are behind the manor house. Cockington Village has some wonderful tea rooms to round off a trip. Tip: Park in the Coastal and Countryside Trust car park as it is cheaper than the council one. This car park can be found by turning left as you reach the centre of the village.
