Finnish cooking class in ♡ of Helsinki
I will welcome you in my home in the design district, Punavuori. The plan for the evening is to create together a traditional Finnish meal consisting of a starter, a main course and dessert. You will get your hands dirty with peeling, chopping and kneading. Sounds like a lot? Finns like to keep things uncomplicated in all aspects of life - including cooking - so we will finish prepping on time. An example menu looks like: Lohikeitto (salmon soup) Lihapyörykät (Finnish meatballs) Korvapuusti (cinnamon rolls) THE MENU WILL CHANGE ACCORDING TO SEASON AND THE REQUEST OF GUESTS THAT SIGNED UP. While we are preparing dinner together, you will have the chance to learn about various exotic Nordic ingredients from the seas and forests exclusive to this region. At the dinner table we can then discuss the latest gossips of the Finnish gastro scene, and you can ask me for tips and recommendations where to eat next. You will also take home a printed version of the recipes with you, so you can share them with your friends and family when your vacation is over. I have vegetarian, vegan, lactose- and gluten-free menu options too. Just ask.

Professional photoshoot in Helsinki
We meet near the main railway station or somewhere else in the city center. The place of the photoshoot depends on the weather conditions, the location is negotiated before a photoshoot. I know nice places in Helsinki, starting with the city center and finishing with natural areas. If you prefer the center, we can take photos in the park of Botanical garden, the Senate square, Katajanokka, or the Töölö and Eira neighbourhoods. However, if you want to get picturesque photos in the Nordic nature, we can take a walk on the Lauttasaari island or Suomenlinna island (a 20 min ferry trip). As a result, you’ll have 25-30 professionally edited photos within 7 days. Things to note: Before a photoshoot, I discuss outfits or, at least, colours of your clothes. It’s essential, because it affects the result. I send you examples of clothes that will perfectly suit for a shoot in the location of your choice. In the spring and summer season I don’t take photos in the midday, because of the harsh light. If you want to get beautiful and warm pictures it’s better to book a photoshoot after 19:00. We have a long light day in Finland at this season. If you need a photoshoot in the middle of the day, I’m open for discussion. Please, contact me for time outside the schedule. My main goal is that you get beautiful photos from mesmerising Helsinki, which will keep you warm with good memories.

Beautiful Nature And Mushrooms Adventure
The Journy start from the Helsinki city center (Rautatientori) close to the main Train Station coming by bus to the direction of Vantaa/Sipoonkorpi National Park, Am usually waiting at the bus stop/meeting location close to the national park waiting for you to arrive and stop the bus, if needed, you just need to catch the bus on time from city center close to the main railwaystation. The starting time depends on the bus timetable and bus trip is not included in the estimated 3 hours time. From the meeting location we walk together until we reach the forest trails. Walking/Hiking at the park is about two hours to enjoy the quietness of the woods, relax and discover some wild mushrooms and learning about different species and types of mushrooms depends on the season and also the weather. At the end of the trip we will have a break at the fire place with the rough/cover and beautiful view of Bisa lake, somthing to drink and to eat mainly home made and we cook possibly founded mushrooms on Pan or Stick. Now is the best season for picking wild edible mushrooms and founded mushrooms with guests have been grilled and fried on pan!
Magical Taiga Forest Hike
This day trip takes us off the beaten path to Liesjärvi national park, a breathtaking landscape carved by glaciers and shrouded by old-growth forest that will provide a magical setting to spend the day exploring nature. The park itself is a wonderful place for foraging wild foods such as blueberries, lingonberries, chanterelle mushrooms, porcini mushrooms and many more. As I have studied here in Finland as a wilderness guide, my passion lies in the knowledge of nature, so we will be stopping along our walk to talk about our surroundings, search for seasonal wild foods, and really enjoy the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of this wild national park. For lunch, I will prepare a delicious campfire meal that typically includes smoked salmon soup, rye bread, blueberry pie, and coffee/tea. Please note that the specific lunch offerings may vary depending on the season and any dietary requirements. Extra info: Our drive there will have a bathroom break/coffee stop approximately 25 minutes before entering the park. The walking trail is approx. 5 km and only requires a basic level of fitness and regular shoes. I have rain jackets in case of bad weather and often the weather is much less intense outside of Helsinki, so do not worry too much about the sideways rain in the market square! - Other dates available upon request -

Ice Fishing in Helsinki Region

Helsinki Tram Tour with a City Planner
Helsinki; the city where things work, and public transportation is no exception. It works flawlessly and is ranked among the best, not just in Europe but in the world. Helsinki also has one of the oldest tram systems in the world that dates back to 1891! In the city center areas, trams are the first choice of the locals when it comes to transportation. For Helsinkians, the sound of the trams in the neighborhoods, especially during the silent nights, is a delightful and comforting thing. In this tour, we will visit various parts of this beautiful city that would not have tourist crowds and you will enjoy it like a local, by using the famous tram system of Helsinki. You will discover hidden locations that you wouldn’t find in standard tour itineraries; places full of secret parks, beautiful cafes and pubs, flea markets, great views and needless to say impressive architecture. We will have a beautiful route covering various neighborhoods: Kruununhaka, Katajanokka, Punavuori, Eira, Ullanlinna, Kaartinkaupunki, Kamppi, Töölö. Hike in a National Park and Sauna by a lake
Experience the relaxing and refreshing effects of a forest on this nature walk in a national park, enjoy a campfire barbecue and top it off with a relaxing visit to a traditional smoke sauna. During this experience, you will get to discover the beautiful Sipoonkorpi national park with a professional wilderness guide. The guide will lead you through the park and tell you about Finnish nature and wildlife around you. Our trail leads us to a rocky vista overlooking a forested lake where we will have a campfire barbecue. After the nature walk (total 6km) we will continue to the traditional smoke sauna next to the national park for a relaxing sauna and swim. The smoke sauna is held in the highest esteem by most Finns and will give us hot and smooth heat called - löyly - in Finnish. The smoke sauna is located next to a freshwater lake so we can go for a refreshing dip during our sauna breaks. After some fresh air, we will head back into the sauna to warm up again and then we will repeat the entire experience twice more. If you are brave enough to join us in the winter we will go for the famous arctic dip in the ice water! You may have heard that the Finns bathe in the heat naked, but since we are at the public mixed smoke sauna it is necessary to wear a bathing suit, so no sweat! (Okay, there still will be sweat.) * Feel free to request alternative tour dates! *
