The Best Charleston History Tour-10am
As the largest Airbnb experience provider in the state of South Carolina and the best History Tour in Charleston. I promise you're going to learn more about history on this tour than on any other tour in this town.
From modern-day Charleston, to how the city came to be, even mind-blowing facts about everything from Slavery to Santa Clause.
But... we start by discussing what's important to you about history. What you like, and what you hope to learn. This allows me to focus the conversation where you want.
I use a story format and I ask you a lot of questions to spur discussion. I'll walk you down the path of Charleston in a funny, interesting, sometimes irreverent way. I'm not going to sugar-coat anything, or drone on about names and dates you won't remember anyway. I will teach you things you did not know, and challenge things you think you know.
We'll start at Waterfront Park. We'll see some amazing sights and have some fascinating discussions about the very colorful history of the early fort of Charles Towne.
When we’re finished we’ll end up very close to where we started, the proud new owners of the most valuable souvenir you can take home from your trip – knowledge.
So come on ya'll, this tour ain't gonna book itself! :)
(Airbnb limit is 10 people, although we sometimes have more. You can always try booking directly on our website at Chucktown Tours)
Coffee Hike to Three Waterfalls
Love hiking and coffee? You've found the right place.
We have over 300 waterfalls around Brevard and searching different trail websites gets confusing to try and pick which one to visit, so I will make it easy, we’ll visit three of my personal favorites along a 3.5 mile loop. The terrain is mostly even, gravel trail with two steep sections (about 70 yards) that will get your heart pumping, but the views are worth the climbs.
To me there's nothing better than slowing down to appreciate the moment in nature with a great cup of coffee (and new friends!).
On this hike you will try my locally roasted coffee medium roast, called "Trail Magic". I recently hired the best hiking guides in WNC and we can't wait to lead you on a coffee hike!
Here's our plan.
1. We will meet at The Hooker Falls parking area in DuPont State Forest, and hike to Hooker Falls. Here we'll break to brew and share coffee together. You'll learn how to make coffee in the woods including how to filter water from the waterfall.
2. We'll head to Triple Falls. It's up a steep climb but we will take our time and the view is totally worth it.
3. After some pictures of Triple Falls, we'll keep hiking on to High Falls, a stunning end to our adventure.
Need a different date or time from what's listed? We have multiple guides, so please send date and time requests and we will do our best to accommodate!
Sailing in Savannah
We'll meet you on Wilmington Island, just 15 minutes from downtown Savannah and raise sail in the Wilmington River. You can sit back and relax or learn how to sail and take control under the guidance of your knowledgeable and friendly captain. While I can't guarantee dolphins, gorgeous sunsets, or new friends, the odds are certainly in our favor. The wind will fill the sails and gently push us along as you soak in beautiful views of the islands and marshes that make the Lowcountry so special. This is a truly unique experience that will get you off the beaten path and give you a taste of Savannah from a local's perspective!
If we're not able to sail due to the weather, we'll try to reschedule for a time that fits your schedule. If that's not possible you will receive a full refund. But, don't worry too much, as we only have to cancel a very small percentage of our sails. If you don't see any availability that fits your schedule, just send me a message and I'll try and set something up for you! At this time we are only able to accommodate requests for private trips where your group (up to 6) will have the entire boat to yourselves.
*We require a minimum of 4 guests in total to run the trip. If you book as a smaller group, we may have to reschedule, but this is rarely required.

Historic Savannah Pedicab Cruise
Your downtown pedicab experience can begin wherever you would prefer to be picked up, be it at your vacation rental, or downtown its of no matter! Our tour begins with a tasty beverage from Oconnell's Irish Pub, one of my favorite places in town, this quite little dive is a great place to grab a quick drink and have a nice chat with the bartender before we make our way over to the east side of town where we will see some unique landmarks like the Kehoe House, and the Emmet Park anchor garden. From there we will head south towards the Victorian District where we will check out some one of a kind Savannah mansions, we then have the opportunity to stop into a true hidden gem in Savannah, the Mate Factor. This quaint little cafe serves up some delicious baked goodies and tasty tea and coffee beverages. From there we will head over to the South end of Forsyth Park which has more of a locals feel to it as we cruise past the park we can pick up another alcoholic drink if thats what youre into! We then continue west as we roll past more beautiful historic homes on Savannah's West side. The last leg of our tour lands us in city market where I will show you some of the best hidden gems for eats and drinks. From there you can either hop out and make your own way around town, or I will be happy to drop you off at the location of your choice anywhere in the historic district.

Boo-Hag and Brews Ghost/Bar Tour
Is this a walking brew tour with a side of ghosts or a ghost tour with a side of brews? While guests will have to decide on that, we can tell you this is not an average "sit there and shut up " tour, but rather an opportunity to engage back and forth with a 7th gen. local. As a combined bar and ghost tour guests will start out at a local Irish pub where an appetizer will be provided complimentary and guests can order some delicious cocktails or beers (yes the Guinness is on tap ) while the guide goes over the basics of local history and the ghosts present in the City of Charleston. From there guests will walk by several historic graveyards and alleyways to hear in-depth stories of local ghosts and spirits such as the notorious BOO-HAG which is only known to Charleston. Guests will begin to understand why/how ghostly activity can take place after particular circumstances of love, tragedy, and horror. Eventually the group will make its way over to the relative safety of another bar. The tour will wind down at a hauntingly beautiful local park to hear about one of the first female serial killers. Don't stick around too long after...
-Please bring valid photo identification (license or passport).
-Experience is for guests 21+ only.
-This experience is Not for guests with walking difficulties
-One small snack provided at beginning of tour
- Two bars are visited
Nennella Sailing on Charleston Harbor
Nennella Sailing offers year-round sunset and daytime charters on a classic 1964 Pearson Vanguard 32-foot sloop. Only about 400 of these yachts were built. Nennella is No. 109. When these boats were made, sailors navigated the seas using paper charts, sextants and the stars above.
Step onto the boat—with her high bow and raised transom, full keel, original spruce boom and teak-lined cockpit—and get unstuck in time: you will be transported, literally and metaphorically, across the waters of Charleston Harbor and through the history of one of the most fascinating cities in the U.S.
First settled in 1670, Charleston became the epicenter of rice production during the antebellum period, and the most significant port of entry in North America of the transatlantic slave trade.
Here determined American Patriots defeated the mighty British Navy in the Battle of Sullivan's Island. Here the first shots of the Civil War rang out. In this harbor Robert Smalls commandeered the Confederate transport ship CSS Planter and piloted it and its enslaved passengers to freedom. Here the courageous 54th Massachusetts Volunteers fought the Second Battle of Fort Wagner.
The history is rich, troubling, fascinating. Learn about it, as well as the details of contemporary life in Charleston, aboard the classic sailing yacht Nennella!
(Ask about 2-boat tandem sails for parties of 8 or more.)
Horseback riding
Once you arrive at the stables you will have a chance to meet the horses and introduce yourself. Once your comfortable with your horse on the ground you will be able to mount the horse and learn a few ques (stop, walk, turning) before heading out on the trails. Your trail boss will guide you threw wooded and open trails to enjoy nature from horseback. To relax and destress from everyday life and just enjoy the moments with friends and family on a relaxing horseback ride.
Dolphin/shelling adventure or Custom Private Group Cruise
If its dolphin and shelling you're looking for, you've come to the right place! We'll depart from Folly River Boat Landing and enjoy a scenic boat ride through the salt marsh creeks of Folly Island to historic Morris Island. Once on Morris Island, you’ll have the opportunity to walk the beach in search of shells, shark teeth, and other fossils. From Morris Island you will also enjoy breathtaking up-close views of the historic Morris Island lighthouse.
During your journey to and from the island, you will enjoy numerous sightings of Bottlenose Dolphins and other saltwater wildlife.
