The Square Root has a little bit of everything. They offer gluten free and vegetarian options. The atmosphere is inviting and the patio is a lovely place to dine or just stop in for drink. The variety and quality is excellent.

Mountain biking, hiking, waterfalls, fly fishing, Cradle of Forestry, Sliding Rock, Pisgah has it all! The mountain biking trails are epic and some are pretty technical. There are many different options for hiking. Some are easy while other trails are more challenging. The Pink Beds Loop is not very technical and you can see a wide range of natural habitats while Looking Glass Rock Trail is pretty strenuous but offers an amazing view as does John Rock Trail. The exercise trail and Ecusta Trail meander along the Davidson River and are very relaxing and enjoyable.

Dupont also offers some beautiful mountain biking trails! Pick up a map at one of the local bike shops and enjoy some of the best trails this area has to offer. Save Ridgeline for last.
