Lake Jarun

Jarun is a Zagreb city settlement (district) in the western part of the city, it also contains a lake and a park of the same name. It is located in the southwestern part of the city district Trešnjevka - south. Lake Jarun, in addition to the rowing track, consists of two connected lakes for swimming and recreation. There is a road around the lake (approx. 6 km long), so Lake Jarun, both in hot summer days and in cold winter, is a favorite gathering place for all those who want various forms of recreation (swimming, running, rollerblading, cycling). On Lake Jarun are regularly held rowing and sailing regattas, kayak and canoe competitions on calm waters, swimming marathons, athletics and cycling races.
