Rose Park is another great neighborhood coffee spot. A bit more elevated in terms of technique (pour over, etc) and quality of beans than Viento.

If you are looking for a 'nicer' dinner or lunch Nick's a really good option. The food here is a bit pricier than the rest of 2nd street but I think it's one of the best eating options on 2nd.

One of the giants of the craft brewing scene, the Ballast Point Brewery in an absolutely beautiful space in a beautiful location. The beer isn't so bad either. This place gets so crowded on weekends we rarely go. Midday on a weekday is your best bet. A true Long Beach gem.
