Sightseeing

One of Europe's most iconic and beautiful buildings with its incredible spire and cloisters. Its walled Close, locked at night, is a 'village' within the city and witnesses Salisbury's story with buildings from medieval to Victorian around its 80 green acres. Visit the Salisbury museum, the Rifle Museum and Mompesson House and hunt the exact spot from which Constable painted the Cathedral.

This ancient church was built for the Cathedral construction teams to worship in and has a wonderfully soaring nave and massive, cathedral-scale windows making it incredibly light and atmospheric. Mainly 15th century, don't miss the 1475 Doom Painting over the chancel arch and spot the angels - nearly 250 on walls, pillars and the roof.
