The Wedge, A Beautiful place to watch the Waves at the end of Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach. Waking distance to the pier. Very romantic, usually more remote area. The waves are much higher here due to rock jetty, keep that in mind if you choose to surf here.

Griffith Observatory is in Los Angeles which traffic permitting is approximately 40 miles from the boat. This is well worth it!! They have a planetarium, views of Hollywood sign, View of LA. May I suggest Sunset if you are looking for something romantic? Griffith Park is also the home to the old LA zoo, The Greek and great walking and hiking paths, including the hike to the Hollywood Sign.

Huntington Beach, is less than 5 miles from boat. They always have pop ups selling anything from shoes, clothes to locally made jewelry. Always look up local events and festivals most weekends Huntington has a festival or 2 going on. But even when they don't they have 2nd and PCH which has all the shopping food and music with a view of the Ocean from all!
