Neighborhoods
West Hollywood, or WeHo to locals, is my personal favorite neighborhood in L.A! West Hollywood is popular with locals and tourists alike!
Head west to the beaches, east to historic Downtown or anywhere between: WeHo sits halfway between either side of LA.
Beyond basking in the constant sunshine under picturesque palm trees, this hip and lively L.A. town offers a ton of fun things to do:
Drink at a rooftop bar:
The glamorous Skybar
The Andaz’ Riot House for rock vibes
IVORY for craft drinks + the VIEW
Live music fans:
World famous Troubadour presents iconic musicians, who have surprise performances often.
The Roxy Theatre-iconic + nightclub
Whiskey A Go Go— lauded no frills rock and venue
The Wiltern—one of my personal fave concert venues in LA
See famous comedians in legendary comedy clubs:
The Laugh Factory
The Comedy Store
Both are iconic homes of hilarity
Brunch boasting bottomless brunch drinks:
Many restaurants, offer this, as brunch is a popular good time activity for locals. I love brunch! Try— Breakfast By Salt’s Cure
(All day breakfast + booze)
— Hugo’s
(Omnivore? Vegetarian? Vegan? No worries, all can eat well here)
Farmers’ Markets:
Helen Albert — Mondays 9am-2pm
Melrose Place — Sundays 10am-2pm
Kid Friendly:
Au Fudge is a playground for both adults and kids! It’s Creative Space has games, music, crafts, and educational fun. Parents may dine here while Au Pairs care for their children.
Hike Runyon Canyon in next door neighborhood, Hollywood. This very popular destination to locals and celebrities boasts breathtaking views of L.A., with wide defined paths winding around a canyon. It’s an easy hike, moderately at times. Dog friendly!
Gay Bars:
Many LGBTQ bars, like the famous Abbey, line Santa Monica Blvd, walking distance from my AirBnB! Go explore the strip and catch a spectacular drag show. You might recognize a few stars if Ru Paul’s Dragrace ;)
Explore the legendary Sunset Strip:
There’s so much to see. I encourage a visit.
