While hiking at Taughannock Falls State Park, you can get spectacular views of the park's namesake, which plunges 215 feet past rocky cliffs towering 400 feet above the gorge. There are hiking trails in the gorge and along the rim.

Flint Creek runs from Naples through Flint and Canandaigua to the Erie Canal in Wayne County. In Phelps, you can follow a trail along the creek. The trail runs from the small parking area into the woods, and you'll be able to see a waterfall and a railroad bridge. You also can hike upstream on the creek to see another waterfall on the other side.
Parking and admission: Free. Parking available along Flint Road or in a small lot near the William Street Bridge.
