Just a few steps from the cabin is a secret swimming hole, a shallow part of Trout Creek with a sandy beach. From the cabin, make a right on Black Bart and go past Martin Street. You'll see the creek on your left side.
Trout Creek is the second largest watershed in the Tahoe Basin. The creek meanders from the highest elevations of the Basin, through the urban areas of the City of South Lake Tahoe, until it enters Lake Tahoe at the Upper Truckee Marsh.
