The Court House in Gainesboro and the Town Square held host to the 1970 movie " I Walk The Line " with Gregory Peck and Tuesday Weld. Johnny Cash sings the movies title song as well as other songs through out the movie. Youtube offers the movie for the rental price of $2.99. Two highlights are a moonshine still exhibit and a model display of Fort Blount and the Gaines House. There is no admission charge, but of course, donations are gladly accepted. Volunteers are available during operating hours (Thursdays and Fridays, 8 AM to 4 PM, Saturdays 8 AM to Noon) to help visitors with research on Jackson County history and genealogy.
