My wife and I think Margot's is simply one of the best restaurants in Nashville. It's a small, locally owned, slightly up-scale bar/cafe located just across the street from 5-Points Pizza...actually on one of the corners of 5-Points. The menu varies as to the chefs access to seasonal produce and products....but it's consistently great! It's fine to dress casual but you would be wise to make reservations to assure a table.
We like the enclosed patio for a quieter experience but inside is fun too!

The menu varies as to the chefs access to seasonal produce and products....but it's consistently great! It's fine to dress casual but you would be wise to make reservations to assure a table.

Every kind of burger you could hope for...from Bison to Vegie.
Great service, generous portions. Shared table seating on the inside and single tables on the patio...just 1/2 mile from our house!

One of the few vegetarian restaurants in Nashville this small locally owned, hip diner in East Nash offers non-meat comfort food to all. Check-out their menu...we like the Buffalo Beans & Greens (with tempeh)! It's a popular spot so if you have to wait you can start off with dessert 1st at the also recommended Jeni's Ice Cream next door! Or jump to one of the other restaurants right there like Rose Pepper (fun Mexican), Eastland Cafe (chef choice, great Happy Hour), Two-Ten Jacks (Unique Japanese, ramen!), or Graze (totally vegan bistro/bar). Depending on your desires they are all recommended! All these plus an additional 2 coffee shops and cool bakery all about 2 miles East of our home.

Pinewood Social offers a very unique restaurant environment. Yes they have artisan drinks and great food but they also have, bocce ball, a vintage bowling alley, outdoor pool area, a living room/board games area and coffee bar. Great place to have fun and hang-out near downtown/broadway.

Great chef, traditional American with a flair, great happy hour. Reservations recommended but depending on the night you may be able to snag a table (in nice weather go for the front and back patios!)

With 8 different zips through the forest it's a fun 2-hour adventure that is great for all ages. And it's located at Fontanel (iconic Barbra Mandrell manison, distillery, winery, restaurant, concert venue, and walking trails (even for dogs)! If your in for even more adventure check-out the Adventureworks website for the West location (40 mins from downtown in Kingston Springs)...even more ziplines, a full high adventure park amid an amazing old growth forest adjoining the Harpeth River (maybe canoeing too?). A true taste of scenic of rural Tennessee!
