Transportation
“On the Sunday bicycle route (Biciruta) you will come to Monumento a la Patria, created by famous Columbian sculptor Rómulo Rozo. It includes 300 hand-carved figures that tell the story of Mexico and is a great photo-op. If one were to bike the entire round-trip bicycle route quickly with no stops or sight seeing, the route could be accomplished in 30 to 40 minutes. We take a leisurely couple of hours stopping for coffee or ice cream and perusing the wares of vendors in the various parks. ”

สถานที่ประวัติศาสตร์
“[EN] Merida, capital of Yucatan, contains a vast infrastructure, which enabled it to become the hub of cultural attractions in the Yucatan Peninsula. It has over 5,919 hotel rooms of all categories, venues and exhibition centers, more than 300 restaurants of all kinds and class, and an extensive range of cultural and tourist attractions. It is the starting point for exploring the Mayab routes. Merida offers several options of culture, history, fun and delicious cuisine. That’s why we recommend starting your visit in the Historic City Center, where you can see many colonial buildings, museums, galleries, theaters, outdoor cafes, bars, traditional clothing, parks, hotels, restaurants with national and international food standards. The Historic Center is the ideal place to carryout different leisure activities and nightlife every single day Plaza Principal In the main square of Mérida you can find the Government Palace (opened on September 15, 1892), the Cathedral of San Ildefonso-Archbishop of Toledo (which was the first to be erected on land in the Americas), the Museum of Contemporary Art (originally Episcopal Palace), the Montejo House or Casa de Montejo, which was built between 1543 and 1549 by Francisco de Montejo y León "El Mozo". La Plaza Grande, as it is normally called by the Meridians, is the obligatory point of departure when touring the city. There is also the municipal palace, the Olympic Cultural Center and nearby is the Daniel Ayala Theatre, Hidalgo Park, the beautiful Church of the Third Order, The park of the mother, the magnificent Jose Peon Contreras theater and the central building of the Autonomous University of Yucatan, among many other historical sites and cultural venues.”

Museum
“This exceptional museum takes you from the asteroid strike 65 million years ago on what became the Yucatan, through the lands revegetation and settlement about 30,000 years ago, and then through the peoples who populated southeastern Mexico, their cultures, religions, foods, architecture, wars, conquests to liberation. Allow at least two hours, and better yet, longer, to revel in the displays, watch the videos, engage with interactive screens to deepen your understanding -- I learned to display in Mayan methods the number 435,355! This place is fabulous.”
