พลาซ่า
“Parque Eduardo VII - from there you can see a large part of the city put into perspective with vivid green labyrinthine gardens and with the river Tejo as a backdrop; •Avenida da Liberdade – between Parque Eduarde VII and Baixa, this is the city’s most exclusive shopping avenue. You’ll find a lot of cafés with outdoor sitting - the perfect spot for a quick coffee break; •Rossio - during the 19th century, the whole square was paved with the typical calçada portuguesa (portuguese cobblestone pavement) which created an interesting wave-inspired effect on the floor. Don’t forget to try the very traditional A Ginjinha (Largo São Domingos, 8)- a famous portuguese liquor made of sour cherries.”

“One of the best look-out point in Lisbon is also one of the least visited. Take the 28 Tram from Martim Moniz (R. Sra. Saúde 6B) and jump off when you see the sign for Nossa Senhora do Monte on your right side. It's close to Largo da Graca. From there it's a short walk up hill. ”

“Portuguese sandwiches highly priced for locals, but quite yummy (ok, for Lisbon standards - you have to travel around the country to find the real yummy)! I lived in this neighboorhood for more than 10y and just discovered this place on my last year living there, which means Baixa can still have some secrets. Mostly locals go to this place, since it's a bit out of the beaten track. Around 6-7 euros per sandwich. Favorite sandwiches: suckling pig (this is quite great by any PT standards!) and fried cuttlefish ("choco").”

“Other Central Market, where you can have meals. Avenue 24 Julho , 50 meters from Cais do Sodré. Esplanades looking to Jardim D. Luis. Some of best portuguese chefs are there with mini restaurants.”

“Don't go this street at Baixa to eat since it is very touristic and some of them will rip you off. ”

“Damas is one of my favourite places to dance in Lisbon, it's actually a restaurante with a room for concerts and partys wich is always full on weekends after midnight. The atmosphere is a 50% blend of locals and foreigners, ready to dance after a good dinner. It might sound oldfashioned but believe me , it isn't. Here you can have from punk rock bands to poetry declamation, and you will always have a couple of Dj's playing all types of music. My favourite night's are when they invite underground dj's since they have a good criteria selecting theyr disc jockeys. Plus the croud is tendentiously made of people who like to relax and listen to the music or just have some wine and chat.”
