“Torc Waterfall is a twenty minute walk from Muckross House or alternatively you can park at the waterfall car park. For those who like to trek, it is possible to access Torc Mountain from here. This is a medium climb as there are steps the whole way to the whole way to the top of the mountain where you will look down on the Killarney lakes and Killarney town.”

“Dingle is a small port town on southwest Ireland’s Dingle Peninsula known for its rugged scenery trails and sandy beaches. A statue of long time harbour resident Fungi the dolphin is by the waterfront. Fungi, is a wild Bottlenose Dolphin, no one is quite sure of his age but he has been there for nearly 32 years and experts tell us he has a lifespan of between 40 and 50 years.”

Point of Interest
“As part of a trip around the Ring of Kerry this is a perfect stop (during the summer), and as we are only an hour from Tralee or Killarney you can easily fit us in as something to do in south Kerry. On a day trip you will see fabulous views at ‘Mountain Stage’ just outside Glenbeigh, Valentia Island (by ferry) with the site of the first transatlantic cable, Portmagee which is one of Ireland’s cutest (working) fishing villages. We are just 15 minutes off the main Ring Of Kerry road.”

Mountain
“The Gap of Dunloe is a narrow mountain pass forged between the MacGillycuddy Reeks and Purple Mountain by glacial flows. The river running through the gap is the river Loe from where the Gap gets it's name. The Gap begins at Kate Kearney's Cottage. The road, narrow in many places, winds through the pass and descends into The Black Valley passing five lakes, Coosaun Lough, Black Lake, Cushnavally Lake, Auger Lake and Black Lough. Within easy walking distance from Kate Kearney's cottage is a picturesque old bridge known as the 'Wishing Bridge'. It is said that wishes made here really do come true! The Gap is approximately 11 km from north to south. You can hire a jaunting car (horse drawn wagon) to travel through the Pass and take a boat back to Killarney from Lord Brandon's cottage at the other end. It makes a good challenging day's exercise by bicycle. You could travel the opposite direction by taking a boat ride from Ross Castle in Killarney with your bike to Lord Brandon's Cottage and cycle back through the Gap to Kate Kearney's cottage. www.theringofkerry.com”

“Murphy's Bar, Killarney is family owned and established in 1955. It was started by Peggy Murphy, the current owner's mother and is famous for its warm atmosphere and hospitality. It is the best pub in Killarney, frequented by locals and visitors. It is centrally located within easy distance of Killarney National Park. At Murphy's you will enjoy fun filled evenings of traditional music provided by our Sliabh luachra musicians, who play jigs, reels, polkas and slides. If you are lucky you might catch someone dancing a step or two. Murphy's is a well known sports bar and you are sure to find a match or sporting event being shown on our screen. Watch our Facebook page for details. We have a bar food menu serving all day. Breakfast is served to our guests and customers until 10.30am. Lunch is served from noon to 4.00pm and dinner from 4.00pm to 9pm. Murphy's serves delicious food cooked to perfection. Our fish is delivered daily from Dingle and we serve Kerry beef and lamb in all our dishes. If you are looking for a place to bring a group, Murphy's Bar will serve you. An exciting addition to Murphy's bar is Murphy's Whiskey House. We have a select range of fine Irish whiskeys and the staff are happy to make recommendations. To get the full experience of a traditional Irish pub in Killarney, it has to be Murphy's. Murphy's guest accomodation offers warm hospitality and comfort in the center of town. We are within a minutes walk from Killarney's main attractions and a short drive from Killarney National Park. ”

“The very very popular fish and chip bar , there are no words really its delicious , its brilliant for familys again or just casual eating. In the peak times(evenings) this fish bar can have a wait to be seated but it does move fast and it is really worth the wait, or you can also ring ahead to order a take away to eat at home too.”
