“Parker's Piece is a 25-acre flat and roughly square green common located near the centre of Cambridge, England, regarded by some as the birthplace of the rules of Association Football. Sometimes they have events/festivals going on so worth a research on your dates of your visit so you don't miss any tasty food festivals, small concerts in the park or fun fairs while you're here.”

“Tranquil Grantchester is a quaint village beside the River Cam, home to thatched cottages, medieval Grantchester Church, and several pubs. It’s known for the Orchard Tea Garden, beloved of literature’s 1900s Bloomsbury Group and former village resident, poet Rupert Brooke. Visitors often arrive on foot via riverside Grantchester Meadows or pole punts up the river to Byron’s Pool.”

“Cambridge has plenty of good pubs and beer. The Pint Shop generally has the most impressive beers, across 23 lines, and is situated in the centre, just off the Market (Brewdog will soon be opening a few doors down). The two main areas by the river are also well served – from Quayside, where the Punt Yard bar recently opened, the Maypole is only a couple of minutes away, tucked behind Bridge Street and the Park Street car park, and has a great selection, probably the largest beer selection in Cambridge, while the Mill overlooks the other end of the river and mill pond by Silver Street – probably the best place to take a beer outside in good weather. Take a look at the Cambridge Pub Guide for more places to visit for a good pint in a traditional british pub...”

“Once you're done punting down the river and taking in the scenic sights and soothing sounds of the beautiful university city of Cambridge, pay Midsummer House a visit. Relaxed and elegant, with a sunny conservatory and perfect al fresco dining for warm summer evenings. Creative dishes with a sophisticated touch learned by Chef Patron Daniel Clifford throughout his years in Britain's and France's best restaurants. Passionate about ingredients, Clifford even uses the harvest from Midsummer House own 80 year old apple trees in his cookery. ”
