A love of Japanese culture guides the choice of furnishings and provides an escape from the ordinary. Polished oak floors and a balcony overlooking a quiet neighborhood street contribute to a sense of space. Your home away also has the amenities you're accustomed to with a washer and dryer, dish washer and ceiling fans for those who like a cool breeze. A Bose radio fills the bedroom with music & has an aux input for your phone - and the bed is queen size. A 4K 42" tv and Bose stereo awaits your relaxation in the living room and the futon folds into a twin bed. An ice maker keeps your cocktails on the rocks. In short, it's the perfect base to explore the Tampa St. Petersburg metroplex from. The bungalow is 650 sq ft with an additional 120 sq ft on the balcony for a leisurely breakfast al fresco.
The bungalow is above our detached two car garage. It has its own entrance affording you complete privacy. Electronic locks remove the worry of lost keys.
Jennifer and I (David) will be a phone call away if you need advice or get lost. As we're new to AirBnB we'll be very attentive to your needs. We won't intrude, replace linens or towels unless you specifically request this as there's a washer and dryer for your use. We'll make sure you have the staples like good coffee or laundry detergent upon your arrival. We're literally next to a Starbucks so we don't provide breakfast: many people are gluten intolerant or vegan, etc. plus we're often away. Anywhere the term B & B is mentioned is in a generic capacity.
As it is a garage bungalow, access is via stairs. Those not capable of ascending and descending stairs should be cognizant of this. There's parking for two cars.
As some of our cherished heirlooms decorate the bungalow we ask that care is given to who is invited up and that children are properly supervised. Initially we will have a no pets policy - but we will review this policy on an individual basis.
Jennifer and I have the mutual goal of making your stay in Tampa the best that it can be - and memorable. We hope our Japanese themed cottage either elicits a smile for its kitsch value or preferably shows our interest in world travel.
We like yoga, green technology, NASA, reggae, Haruki Murakami, old British cars and dark chocolate. I'm typically traveling to disaster sites as a FEMA damage adjustor. Jennifer is a Cisco Wireless Engineer and travels the world doing enterprise grade WiFi rollouts. When she's not wearing her propellor hat she's teaching Baptiste Yoga - and can also be counted on for about obscure rock stars of the 70's and her capacity for cool crafts projects.
