BUNGALOW: Independant with private bathroom and terrace. Includes body and hand towel, soap and toilet paper, a fan, gas heater for warm water in the shower. Double, twin share, triple and quadruple rooms.

ENERGY: We use a gasoline generator for power and to avoid too much emission of Greenhouse gases we only turn it on for periods of the day.
During your stay please SAVE ENERGY AND USE IT WISELY.

WATER: We use river water that is pumped to sedimentation tanks and purified. DRINKING WATER: There is a pitcher of water in your room that is refilled every morning and you can refill your bottle free of charge in a main house. During your stay please SAVE WATER AND USE IT WISELY

WASTE MANAGEMENT: We use the 3Rs: reduce, reuse, and recycle. Please separate your waste in the designated bins in your room and common areas.

Puerto Maldonado Madre de Dios เปรู

We are in the Amazon Rainforest of Tambopata, Madre de Dios, Peru. Here you disconnect from the city routine and reconnect with nature as you help in its conservation. Next to TARICAYA ECOLOGICAL RESERVE, inside the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve, we are in one of the most biodiverse areas in the world.

Taricaya is a private reserve and nonprofit association dedicated to biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. Volunteers from Projects Abroad come from all over the world to help in the different projects developed in the Reserve and around the area.
Between us and Taricaya we have 550 ha of preserved rainforest to explore and look for the fauna and flora typical of the region.

Amazon Planet Lodge is in charge of the responsible tourism inside Taricaya and contributes to its labor.
Part of our revenue goes to support Taricaya´s projects and you have the opportunity to visit and learn up close about them and contribute to the conservation of the rainforest.

I am a biologist working for conservation of the Amazon in Tambopata Peru. Want to stay in the jungle and have a unique experience as you help us safe this important ecosystem? As you may be aware, rainforests and human well being are under threat! Preserving the Amazon through sustainable use is urgent to mitigate the effects of climate change world wide. Choosing my place as a traveler you become part of change for better, as you adventure in the jungle, reconnect with nature and learn more about this amazing part of our planet. Part of your money is put into our conservation projects which you will explore first hand during your stay!

HOUSE/OFFICE: In Puerto Maldonado with resting area, WiFi, luggage storage and bathroom for guests with time to spare in the city.

TRANFERS: Airport – Lodge – airport, also bus and hotel. For those who arrive early or have late departures we have the house/office services.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT: Arrival to the Lodge is between 1pm and 2:30pm (1 hour canoe ride down river).
Departure from the Lodge is at 7:30am for all guests (1 and a half hours canoe ride up river).
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND booking the last flight from LAN airlines; it lands at 3:50pm to arrive at the Lodge at 6pm, missing out all the first day and takes off at 4pm creating a long wait time in the city on the last day. IN CASE OF BUS TRIPS KEEP IN MIND THE LOND WAIT IN THE CITY.

TOURS AND GUIDE: Programs include the activities according to itinerary. Guides in Spanish and English. For other languages ask for availability in advance when booking and it has an additional cost.

THE STAFF: As a guest you become part of the Amazon Planet family, all the staff will be always ready to help in anything you need, feel free to approach us at any time.
