Liz seemed sweet and the flat is in a great location and has fantastic windows. It's quiet, too. Unfortunately, it was not the right place for me to stay for a few reasons, but it might be right for you. I took a whole apartment for the two nights and three days I stayed in Le Marais that weekend because I wanted a place that was comfortable and peaceful to come back to. Unfortunately, the host didn't seem terribly concerned about guests' comfort. A load of laundry was left drying in the bathroom and by the door, which took up space and smelled musty. When I suggested that she might come pick it up the following day, she said, no, it was fine hanging there for my whole stay. There was also a dirty mop and bucket in the bathroom, and when I asked if I could put it in the closet, the host said that there wasn't space and that normally she would clean up more but since I was only there for two nights she didn't bother. The whole experience just made me feel like I was crashing with a friend during college who couldn't be bothered to make space for me. Instead of a bed or a side table, there was a folded out futon with a pile of square futon pillows next to it. The futon-bed itself was hard, with a single thin sheet over it and no mattress pad. Instead of bed pillows, there were two worn out sofa throw pillows, which essentially collapsed when you lay down. There were no sheets, just a twin comforter. I also found the description of amenities misleading: There were just two free hangers, one hanging on a hook in the bathroom and one hanging by the doorway. The other few hangers were taken up by her drying clothes. (There was no other place to put or hang clothes.) There was no hairdryer, contrary to the description. She left a single towel, with no hand towel. For one night, if you don't plan on spending any time in the apartment, it might be just what you need, but overall it was kind of a chaotic, uncomfortable stay for me.
