"The James" on Clover Hill is a renovated 4 bedroom two story vacation home situated on 115 acres in Goochland Co. The rural beauty of the farm and central location to metro Richmond and Goochland make this an ideal location for business or pleasure.
The James is the main house on Clover Hill Farm ( A 115 acre horse farm just 7 miles from the Goochland Courthouse ). The farm belonged to my Great Aunt Rosalie and Uncle James Ball. It was renovated in 2015 with refinished floors, new windows, bathrooms and kitchen. (There is an in-law wing "The Rosalie" best suited for parties of 2 or to maximize accomodating parties of 10 in conjunction with rental of the James.) I use the farm as a house party destination with family and friends. A farm manager and family help me maintain the smooth flow of guests visiting the houses. I am excited to share both spaces with others that are looking for a quiet relaxing retreat in Goochland. I hope you'll consider a stay at my farm for your lodging needs in the Richmond area.
Enjoy all the spaces at the farm. Walk the trails and fields, or just enjoy a cup of coffee on the patio or sunroom as the day rolls by. The Rosalie deck and back yard area may be off limits if guests overlap during your stay.
I am always available by phone or text during your stay. Infrequently I overlap with guests.
The listed price is for 6 guests. But can book for up to 9 at $20 each additional person over 6. A pet fee of $20 per pet per stay is an additional cost when bringing pets. The Rosalie apartment for just 2 or two houses together for groups up to 12 .

I live on my family's commercial thoroughbred nursery in Bel Air Maryland Country Life Farm, When not helping out in a myriad of ways with the farms. I work as a professional photographer an artist. I love spending time exploring nature over any social gathering. I spend more time an money shopping at home improvement stores than department stores. When I travel I like to park the car, read, paint and listen to good music,
