The Auction House is part of a stunning conversion of Ryde's Victorian sale rooms. It is a luxury mews house in a tranquil courtyard setting in the heart of Ryde, barely a 5 minute stroll to the beach. It has been equipped as our own holiday home
Downstairs the sitting room is furnished with comfortable Laura Ashley sofas. French windows open out onto the courtyard - perfect for sitting out with a glass of wine or morning coffee. The stylish kitchen/dining area incorporates a peninsular bar so the cook doesn't miss out on any of the action. There is a downstairs cloakroom.
Upstairs there is a beautiful king-size mahogany four-poster bed with hand carving and a stunning sunburst canopy - a little luxury is essential on holiday isn't it? The twin bedroom is also sunny and both rooms have crisp bedlinen and proper pillows! The contemporary bathroom has a large bath - perfect for relaxing after a long hard day sightseeing - and shower over.
There are two patio areas for sitting out ( one private to the side of the house, the other overlooking the communal courtyard) furnished with sun-loving plants and garden furniture.
Parking for one car is available in the courtyard.
Due to its location the Auction House provides a very convenient holiday base with shops, restaurants, the beach and Ryde's many recreational facilities just around the corner.
The whole of the house is available to guests, together with a dedicated parking space.
We are always available on the phone. Our housekeeper is also available.
The Auction House is set in a tranquil location. It is a linked detached house, with three other properties in the development. This helps give a sense of security, but we do ask our guests to respect the privacy of our neighbours.

Terry is an architect and Christine works with deprived children.
We love travelling and visiting our holiday homes.
Our favourite things are adventure sports ( Christine), the National Trust, great food ( whether it's fish and chips on the beach or fine dining) and beer ( Terry -in moderation!).
We have had great experiences of hospitality abroad and like to feel we are returning this in the UK. We love having happy guests!
