This brand new (Nov (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) square foot, one bedroom house was designed and built by the owner with environmental ethics and quality in mind. The house is very spacious and modern with an 8-12' ceiling and 7 mirrored skylights throughout. The heating system is a highly advanced solar heat pump which is up to twice as efficient as standard heat pumps and heats both the radiant floor and the domestic hot water. All lights in the house are LED. There is a heat recovery ventilation system that brings fresh air into the house while retaining much of the heat of the air that is being exhausted. The kitchen was reclaimed and refinished. The bathroom features a huge walk-in shower and all Hansgrohe fixtures. There is a high-end built-in sound system in the main area and a smaller built-in system for the high-end TV in the bedroom. High speed internet and Netflix on the TV is included. Front loading washer/dryer is available to use.
This stand-alone carriage house is only accessible off the lane between Hillcrest and Wakesiah streets. Guests have access to the whole house including up to two parking spots and the yard. The other house on the property (accessed off Hillcrest Ave) is rented to longterm tenants.
There is a comprehensive "House Guide Book" which should answer any questions about how to use the house, and there is a comprehensive "Nanaimo Guide Book" which lists favorite restaurants, grocery and liquor stores, farmers markets, and recommended activities. Beyond this, as a self-employed person it is very likely I will be able to assist you with any special needs or questions.

Rules for dogs:
• unattended dogs in the house must be either crated or left in the spacious bathroom with the door closed
• no playing of any kind in the house
• keep dogs off the bed, the couch and all chairs
• do not use bathroom towels to dry dogs (bring your own dog towels)
• do not use the shower to wash dogs (there is a dog washing station outside with hot and cold water)
Only enter the house via the laneway (between Hillcrest and Wakesiah).
Do not disturb the tenants in the other house. They cannot assist you.
Absolutely no tabacco smoking inside or outside by anyone entering the house.
No loud music or other loud activities after 10pm.
Dog are very welcome with some rules (see "House Guide Book").
House available at 2pm for occupancy.
Checkout time is 10am. Late checkout may be possible but must be approved no later than 5pm the previous night.
