Dear Sandra, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am very sorry to hear that there was even the slightest odor of smoke in the home since I take pride in the fact that the home is not only non-smoking but has one of the most advanced AC filtration systems available. Our AC/heating system has as its 1st filter an Air Sponge Filter Co. antimicrobial healthsmart sponge filter, second is the Trane CleanEffects™ Air Cleaner which captures 99.98% of airborne allergens like dust, pollen, cooking grease, bacteria down to .1 micron and then a germicidal UV light. In addition to this we have a large size Austin Air Hepa filter which guests can move around home and we also take care to minimize the use of any chemicals in the home. For example, our pest control service is XACT natural and uses only non-toxic methods, if we have to paint we use 0 VOC paint, our mattresses are all latex organic and even the bedroom carpeting is 100% wool and chemical free. That being said we hosted a small group just before your booking and although they did not smoke in the home they did smoke outside and unfortunately left a lingering odor. I have since replaced the micro sponge filter, added an activated carbon/zeolite filter from the Air Sponge CO., washed all the couch cushions, wiped all tile with vinegar and water as well as airing out the home. I would have done this before your arrival but I was out of town and not aware of any odor. Also I would have sent someone to at least replace filters and bring another hepa filter if I was notified of the issue during your stay. Again I truly apologize for this but I am glad to hear that you had a good experience overall.
