Lovely 2bed/2bath, tastefully decorate condo, with a warm, inviting living room & fireplace. 1 mile from Beaver Creek's parking lot and 10 miles from Vail's TC. Located on bus route, free onsite parking, & great for surgery recovery as well. 15% off stays of 7 days or more!
Please note that the condo is not available for long term rentals in the winter.
Our spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath condo has recently been remodeled and is super cozy and easy to access. We're just 1 mile from "downtown" Avon where you will find plenty of options for dining, a grocery store, the Avon recreation center, plus other local businesses (yoga, Pilates, shopping). Avon offers locals and visitors many options for a more affordable Vail experience (plus Avon has lots of parking!).
Inside the first story unit, you will find heated bathroom floor tiles to make it nice and cozy on those cold mornings and an awesome fireplace if you want to snuggle up on those cold Colorado nights. The deck overlooks the beautiful Eagle River and in the summer time you can hear the roar of the water. The condo is great for those recovering from surgery from the Steadman Clinic as it's on the first floor. In addition, there are a couple chaise lounge chairs to help when you need to ice or elevate those limbs that need attention, and the bathroom has a tiled bench that you can sit on while bathing. Free parking , bike storage, and easy access to the bus (the bus costs $4 each way). There is a storage closet outside the unit on the deck if you want to store any of your gear outside. The Eco bus stop located right out front of the complex will take you into Vail ( east about 10 miles) or to Beaver Creek shuttle area (west 1 mile). It's $4 each way, or $8 for a 24 hour unlimited pass. There is a Costco located about 25 miles to the West in the town of Eagle as well.
Access is easy with the keyless entry way (code will be texted to you the day of your arrival). We are on the first floor, so those of you who don't want to lug your stuff up stairs, or are recovering from surgery, the first floor entrance offers easy access to the building. There is one shared wall with another unit which is located on the kitchen and dining room side. Sometimes the parking lot can get a bit icy, so please use caution when walking around outside. Although I love our furry canine friends, the condo association does not allow guests to have pets in the unit.
An email will be sent to you from Linda at the property management company a day prior to your arrival. The door access code will be texted to you the morning of your arrival.
Linda with Book By Owner is your 24 hour contact and personal concierge during your stay. She can help with any problems or questions you have about the area. Her information will be provided prior to check in.
PLEASE NOTE THAT RESERVATIONS INCLUDE 4.4% TAX.
If travelling to Vail for the first time below are some details to help you with planning your trip:
There are 2 airports that easily serve the area: Denver Airport (about a 2.5 hour drive) and Eagle Airport (about a 30 minute drive)
Rental cars are available at both airports, but you can also take a shuttle - Colorado Mountain Express. There is also a great rental car company out of Denver called SilverCar. they rent only AWD audis.
If departing on Sunday and driving to the Denver airport, you should allow more time to get there as the traffic is pretty bad on Sunday. Leaving early or late are your best options.
There is a bus stop outside the condo, but there are also taxis and (starting this winter) Uber!
There is a large storage closet for your use that you can put your skis and bikes in so they dont track in snow and dirt into the house.
Keyless entry system so you dont have to worry about losing your keys.
Please treat our as if it was your own. Get cozy and be comfortable but please turn down the heat when you are not in the unit. Electric heat gets pretty expensive out in the Valley!
There is a great wood burning fireplace in the unit. If you choose to use it, please make sure you know how to operate it before getting started.
In order to activate and engage the lock on the front door, sometimes you need to pull the door toward you to get it to shut all the way.
Garbage is located on the east side of building C. Recycling is only for plastic, bottles, and cans unfortunately. No paper or compost.
Please take advantage of the outdoor ski closet to store your equipment.
Also, please remove your shoes (slipper provided in the brown wicker stool) for all sizes of feet.
Quiet Hours after 10pm. Sorry No Pets and No Smoking (cigarettes or other). Please no ski boots in the house and raging parties.

"The mountains are calling and I must go". Completely cliche, but 100% true. Colorado is an amazing place to be, and I hope when you stay in Vail, you see what I mean. We are not Colorado natives, but our love affair with this beautiful place started in the early nineties when Jackie attended the University of Colorado and continued on when Jackie moved up to this magical town. Although love and life eventually took Jackie to Seattle, Vail still has a special place her my heart. Jason and Jackie's condo reflects the the love for Seattle and it's excellent music scene, but it's also a place to relax and get cozy while listening to the the fireplace, or the eagle river in the summer time. Please let us know if you have any questions about your travels and thanks for stopping by!
