Welcome to beautiful Cragsmoor, listed on the National Registry of Historic places. Cragsmoor was founded as an artist colony in the 19th century. Less than 2 hours from NYC, the house is set on over 4 acres of beautiful wooded grounds, close to the Shawangunk Mountains, Sam's Point and Bear Hill Reserve for great hiking. You’ll love it because of the outdoor space, the light, the kitchen and the comfy beds. Great getaway home for couples, families (with older kids), and big groups.
The house was built in 1974 and I purchased it from the original owners. I recently completed a remodel of the entire house. You'll love relaxing in either of the two soaking tubs while family or friends can cook in the beautiful new kitchen. Cable TV and free Wifi is available, or you can quietly sit on the large deck and read.
You'll have the entire house to yourself, both floors with plenty of room inside and out for relaxing.
I am available 24/7 by the AirBnB app
The Smart TV in the living room allows you to access Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBOGo and other streaming services. Please feel free to use your log in information to access your accounts. The home also includes two Sonos speakers. Download the app to your phones in order to play all of your music throughout your stay!
Guests must leave by 12pm on the last day of the reservation. There is NO SMOKING ANYWHERE on the property, including patio, deck and grounds. We recently had a terrible fire in the Cragsmoor area, my neighbors and I want to make sure that never happens again! No furniture moving or removal. Originally from San Francisco, I moved back to New York in 2012 for a great job at an arts non-profit.
I used to travel a lot for work, but I don't have to do that much anymore. Instead for the last few years I've been able to fall in love with New York again while enjoying a relatively, low key life.
