For a great get-away to the country - with friends, for a family re-union, or for couples retreating - Wallaby Leap offers privacy on 10 acres of garden and forest, as well as spectacular views and a luxury spa. With wide verandas, outdoor picnic area, conversation spaces indoors and upstairs, the lodge has hosted many satisfied guests (sleeps 6). With gullies to explore and a waterfall in wet weather, or bush walks, tennis & restaurant up top, Wallaby Leap is ideal for groups and families.
This is a fully furnished and equipped, holiday home on 10 privates acres within Eaglereach Wilderness Park which is a 1000 acre bushland resort on top of Mt George.
A bottle of sparkling white wine, chocolates, breakfast cereals, tea and coffee are provided with each stay, as are clean linen, bedding and towels. Guests have free use of Foxtel pay television, WiFi internet and mobile phone.
On the ground floor, there is a bright living room with three sofas (one being a sofa bed), a TV, reverse cycle air conditioner, and a slow combustion wood heater. French doors lead onto the veranda which has armchairs, a breakfast table and chairs. This leads to the luxury spa which seats 4-5 people. Downstairs there is also is an oval dining table seating 6-8, plus a large desk for computer use. The fully equipped kitchen leads to a back veranda, gas BBQ, rain tanks and paths to the forest walks. There is a modern bathroom downstairs, plus a laundry with maching machine and second toilet.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has a queen bed, a large sofa and desk area, and air conditioning. The second and third bedrooms each have a double bed. All have electric blankets. The walk-through bedroom also has two armchairs.
The front and back verandas lead to the luxury, heated spa which is surrounded by a gazebo, with its spectacular views in all weathers of the Barrington Tops and Paterson valley.
At the front of the house is a picnic garden setting, open barbeque and parking for 3-4 cars.
Guests have access to the whole house, except for a store cupboard under the stairs and a store room for tools. Guests must respect the facilities such as spa and BBQ. Washing off make-up/tanning lotions before a spa is important, or the filters clog up. Cleaning off excess food and fat after cooking on the BBQ is also necessary and hygenic; use a wet cloth while the BBQ is still hot.
Smoking is NOT permitted inside the house; however ashtrays on the veranda and picnic area are provided. Guests are asked to use them and not litter the gravel paths around the house.
A fire is set inside for guests in winter; extra firewood is in the wood shed. The outside fireplace near the picnic area is for kindle only; chopped firewood is hard to burn and expensive, so guests should gather wood from the surrounding paths and forest floor. Fire restrictions vary; in warm or hot weather outside fires are usually forbidden.
Guests should ring the agent Eugene Hempel, or the owners Joanna and Joachim Hempel if there are any problems. If the guest's phone does not work in this remote area, there is a mobile phone in the bottom drawer in the kitchen.
Penalties for damage or leaving the lodge or spa in an abnormally dirty state will apply.
Surcharges apply during peak periods. Discounts are available for last minute bookings and bookings that fill or partially fill gaps in the calendar.
The lodge is to be left in a clean and tidy state, with rubbish removed and placed in bins provided. Wet towels must be put on towel racks to dry, before cleaners come, so towels do not go mouldy. Smoking is not permitted inside, butts must be placed on ashtrays, then into bins. Fires outside in the picnic area are not to be lit in summer or dry weather; in winter only kindle from the forest or roadside should be used; bought, chopped firewood is hard to burn and expensive, to be used only in the slow combustion stove indoors.
Payment of rental constitutes agreement of these conditions, whether or not the agreement is signed or completed in full. These terms and conditions apply to guests and their visitors. Guests must adhere to the by-laws of the community scheme, particularly those restricting noise and disposal of rubbish. All guests will be permitted exclusive use of the premises they have rented.

Premises, Duration and Number of Guests
The guest has the right to occupy the premises “Wallaby Leap”, at Eaglereach, Mt George, Vacy, 2421. The stay begins o(URL HIDDEN) and end o(URL HIDDEN) . The check-in time is 11am and the check-out time is 2pm unless one party arrives on the same day as another departs, in which case the check-out and check-in times on that day are reversed (11am and 2pm, respectively). The number of people allowed to stay overnight at the home i(URL HIDDEN)adults an(URL HIDDEN) children (under 15 years). Contravention of this rule may result in termination or extra charges. Unauthorised gatherings are strictly prohibited.
Use of the Premises at Guests’ Risk
Use of the premises including the spa, barbeques, walking trails, trail bike rides and 4WD tracks is at the guests’ own risk.
Lighting of Fires
Is not permitted in the open at any time due to the high fire danger that is present in this bushland retreat.
Guest Responsible for Security and State
To safeguard the property’s contents, windows, curtains and blinds must be closed on departure. Doors must be locked, including those to the front, back, laundry and French doors. The French doors must be latched. House keys must be left as they are found. The guest will also be liable for, and must promptly notify the agent of, damage other than from fair wear and tear, including damage from accidents and excessive mess.
The property will be clean on arrival and will be cleaned after the guests’ departure. Any spills and stains must be cleaned up promptly by the guest.
Smoking and Litter
Smoking is not permitted in the lodges. Litter must be placed in the garbage bins provided.
Linen, bedding and towels are provided and beds are made up on arrival. Any wet towels must be hung to dry on the upstairs towel racks.
Pets are not allowed unless prior arrangements and payment have been made. Pets are not permitted at the main resort facilities up on Mt George.
