I have never stayed anywhere more peaceful in my entire life. Drinking coffee by the cenote each morning, hammocks and that amazing outdoor common area, everything but the hot nights was absolutely perfect, and even then the Colibri came with a whole wall for breeze. I'd definitely stay here again.

We loved have the best of both worlds. You have the cenote on one side of the street and the ocean on the other side.

Beautiful place with a private cenote and walking distance to the beach. Very nice resturants close by. Cayaks and some basic snorkeling gear available. Beautiful noises of nature could be heard when you wake up in the morning. We stayed late July and it got very hot in the night. Don't expect AC because it is a meant to be rustic and eco friendly.

Great place to stay in Tulum! Steps away from a beautiful cenote with kayaks and snorkeling gear available. We were able to bring our puppy, who was in LOVE with the place. We loved it so much that we stayed an extra night. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Larissa and the incredibly diverse community at Yaxchen Cenote gave us what seems to be a fading and soon to be lost experience of Tulum and we are so appreciative for this. Their authenticity and hospitality were so rare and special. The grounds were lush and sprinkled with a unique flavor of history, culture and the day-to-day ritual and practice shared there. The Yaxchen Cenote is perfect for a peaceful morning kayak with herons and other guest meditating on the two-story dock that we later jumped off to cool off. Being close to the end of the strip we were able to escape the bustle of the taxis and parties, but were able to rent a bike, catch a collectivo or walk to shops, beach bars and even go to the Tulum Ruins before the tour guided buses bring in the crowds. Yaxchen's location was perfect for daily trips to Chichen Itza, Ek'Balam, Coba, and so many other cenotes. Even though it is not right on the water, we were able to enjoy the beach every day with beach bar happy hours and nearby public access. We hope to have the opportunity to visit the area again and hope Larissa and this community are still there sharing the history and hospitality of the area.

Secluded but with easy access in and out, with a taxi base and bike rentals a 100 meters aways, with 5 Cabañas or rooms, cenote-mangrove to swim and snorkel, beach across the street, healthy food, alternative therapies, herbs medicinal, meditation, stretching exercises, ancestral ceremonies, friendly people and more..., is what and who we are.
As a host, we want to share with you this Eco-friendly experience as a way of living. Our house is part of the place and we are almost always around, when not , there is friendly people that take care of the guest. Please, do not expect a Hotel, expect a very comfortable, clean and rustic place, with friendly and relaxed people that respect human beings, flora and fauna. Welcome!
The Cenote-Mangrove is named "Yaxchen", that is one of the three entrance of the largest underground river of the world, named "Ox bel ha". Cenotes were sacred for Mayan culture, we share that feeling.
