Cottage near Villarica volcano, mountains, in touristic area south of Chile in rural area where Mapuches (indigenous people who have been in this land long before Chile existed). It is located in lake district where you can see abundant native vegetation and fauna. Pucura Alto region Challupen bridge, "Escorial" (volcanic lavas from an eruption from Villarica volcano in 1971) in Licanray / Conaripe main road turn towards Villarica Volcano.
The cottage is unique because of the privileged area it is located. It is a landscape with natural landmarks with wide touristic offers in the villages and with seaside resorts that are nearby. The house is spacious, ideal for large families, groups of friends or teams of colleagues on vacation. It turns out to be a cozy place during the nights and a key point to explore the lake districtof southern Chile during the days. The best activities that can be done in the area are: Visit the beaches of lake Calafquén during the summer, make therapeutic and medicinal trips to the numerous hot springs that are by the foothills, visit the local villages and taste typical Mapuche food, visit waterfalls. To contemplate the lake landscape from the high hills, horseback riding, treeking, canopy, climbing to Villarrica volcano, hiking, cycling, guided tour of the lake, discover the mysterious Lake Pellaifa, paragliding, enjoy the silence among other things. Therefore it is recommended to come for the area several days.
You will have access to the whole cottage and the place where you are, where you can observe the natural environment of the cottage. There is ample parking space. Guests can park their vehicles, boats, camper, etc. There is an area for barbecue with everything ready to use.
The Punolef Curipan family, the home owners, will always be available and ready to attend to your needs, inquiries and problems, so that our guests can return with the best possible experiences back to their home.
The only problem we might face is the low running water during the drought months and it is recommended that the guests beresponsible and use water moderately. The water in the cottage comes from the thawing of the Villarrica volcano that during the hotter months tend to dry faster, causing a decrease in the flow of available water.
