More a stay at a conventional b&b or hotel than many airbnbs, this place is absolutely as described: a hint of decadence. My partner and I booked this for a night towards the end of our 17 days in Scotland, as a splurge based on the description.
You will absolutely not be disappointed if a fancy night in is your goal. On the main street in Inveraray, the location is good (a scenic walk to the castle, about a block from the cheesy jail [which I so recommend, too!], close to some good pubs and food). As many reviewers state, the bathroom will be shockingly large! The water is hot and the water pressure in the shower is great. The bed is comfortable, and the TV is big and has a ton of channels--the only time in our trip we stopped to flip through UK television, because nothing seemed better than flopping on that bed after a bath AND shower (trust me, you'll want to try both).
The part that surprised me, however, was the size and scope of the breakfast! Brambles is a proper cafe, and included in your stay is any coffee drink (mochas, lattes, etc), the usual continental spread, and a choice of a lot of breakfast items: eggs benedict, french toast, the full Scottish, and more. The quality of the room alone was worth the price, the meal really pushed this place into something special! Book, you won't be disappointed.
