A conveniently located apartment in a block near to the sea and plenty of shops and restaurants. There is reserved onsite parking for 2 cars and it's just a short drive to the V&A Waterfront or out of the city towards the Cape. The staff on reception are certainly friendly and willing to help. The pool is located on the first floor, but we didn't really feel we could use it as it was freezing cold, overlooked by several apartments and filthy.
The Apartment is spacious and well decorated. All the standard appliances are there, plus a few more such as a toastie maker, washer/dryer and coffee machine. We did have to buy items such as bin bags which was disappointing. The TV has access to a large number of HD movie channels which is great when you get back in the evenings. Wifi was included, but this was via a 3G dongle and ran out of data half way through our stay! We asked to have this resolved to no success which made planning our days very difficult.
The interior is showing it's age slightly and could do with being maintained better - particularly the window blinds and carpets. The place was clean overall but there were a few areas that had been neglected, particularly in the bathrooms. The concierge said he would fire the cleaner when he saw this - we weren't sure if he was joking! We also found the apartment got a lot of noise from the street below, maybe due to poor insulation in the windows.
It was a great stay overall and we'll be looking to visit Cape Town again!
