WHY I WANT TO HOST
I LOVE to Travel. My passion for travel originally started when I was a sixteen and headed to Sweden on student exchange. At the age of 21 I left Australia to return to Sweden to work as an au-pair. I stayed for another year before heading to Ireland where I remained for 9 years. During those 9 years I made it a priority to travel as much as possible through Europe, Africa, USA and Asia.
For the last five years I have shifted my priorities to saving and purchasing my first home. I now live in my home town (born and breed) Geelong which is the second largest city in Victoria after Melbourne which is only a short hours drive away. Geelong is also perfectly situated at the beginning of the Great Ocean Road.
Of all the great places that I have visited, it was local people who allowed me to experience a place and gave me the best tips and recommendations. I would now like to do the same for guests in my home.
I’m a young (ish), fun loving, friendly, outgoing, active female. I love to have fun and travel. I have been lucky enough to be able to visit over 38 countries for extended periods. I am very health conscious and I do my best to eat well, and stay active: Netball, Tennis, Running, etc. I have many people I consider friends all over the world and I do like making new friends when possible. Often people ask me which country did I enjoy the most and I can’t answer that: from the bright lights and fantastic shopping of New York, to the mud huts and simplicity of Africa to the beautiful beaches of the Caribbean I just love all the experiences other countries offer. My motto is you only live once! so try everything!
