Michael's condo is in a perfect location for everything. We were there for a large group event and we wanted a place separate where we could unwind and decompress and Michael's condo fit the bill! Beautiful and clean!

We enjoyed our stay at Michael's condo which was an excellent bang for our buck for our family of five! We had a parking space and could walk everywhere in downtown Kona easily. Guest parking was also available. As travelers, it was very helpful that Michael had snorkels, beach mats & chairs and several coolers available. The balcony was huge and beautiful with view of the pool and ocean. Two stocked bathroom were also excellent. The two sofa beds worked for our young adults, but might not be the best for those with back or neck issues! There was plenty of space in the living room, even with the beds folded out which was nice, and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of cooking utensils, seasonings, and oils with which to save a dime and cook up nice family meals. We appreciate Michael sharing his condo with us.

This place really is 'Walk to Everything'. Nice and quiet, friendly neighbors, great pool, and plenty of room. I would definitely stay here again.

This condo is definitely centrally located. It was great that we had parking and it was so close to everything. You just walk out and you're on Ali'i Drive. Lots of shopping and restaurants to enjoy. Keep in mind that this place does not have A/C, so the fans are going constantly. If you keep the patio door open, which the owner suggested, you risk the large-sized cockroaches entering the place. Which we quickly realized on day one. We realize it is a tropical climate and bugs are to be expected, so we made sure to keep the patio door shut, unless we were there. The carpets were in need of being replaced. I would also suggest that the owner charge a cleaning fee to make sure the towels and sheets were washed and dried, both the beddings and towels had an unpleasant odor when we arrived. It took hours for the towels and sheets to be washed and dried due to the old age of the laundry machines, which is what you need to do prior to leaving, per owner's "check-out" list. I would rather just have paid a fee to have the cleaning service do them and do them properly. Again the location of the condo was perfectl but due to all these issues, we will not be returning to this condo.

Thank you for the heads up, about the linens, I will have all the sheets and towels replaced. As for the cleaning fee, there just isn’t enough time usually between guests, quite often one leaves in the morning an another arrives that afternoon, for my housekeeper to spend 4 to 5 hours doing laundry, besides most guest stay at a condo verse a hotel to save on expenses. I have thought about blocking out a whole day between guest but then I wouldn’t be affordable for me to do four night stays.

This is a big apartment that can easily fit 6. Great location walkable to shops and eateries. It was fully stocked with things you need, which was awesome! BUT he was not very accommodating at all. The wifi was not working and he told me I have to call Oceanic Time Warner myself!! As if I know his account info. So the whole 5 day trip I had no wifi and I had some work to do. BEWARE you have to wash and dry sheets and towels before you leave. You also have to do all your dishes before leaving. Maybe it's just me, but I do NOT want to be doing chores on vacation or calling companies to fix things around the apartment. Also, no air conditioning. When we first got there it was like a hot box inside! It took all day and night to finally get the place cooled down.

I ask her to check with Time Warner Oceanic to see if the internet was down, and also told her that I have a cable for a direct to hook up to the internet, if it was a wifi issue. Sorry no AC, and yes I do ask my guest to wash their own dirty laundry and dishes, this is a private home, if you want hotel / restaurant services you should stay at a hotel and eat at restaurants.

This condo has everything you need! We loved having a kitchen. The location was great--walking to restaurants or beaches was so easy! Definitely recommend this condo if you're coming to the Big Island!

This condo is just as described: location is downtown Kona. You can walk everywhere having Lavjava just steps away for coffee, breakfast or dinner. There are grills available by the pool. The designated Parking spot is convenient and close. There are many snorkel sets in the unit. There is much beach equipment as well. Some has been used/abused unfortunately: bent chair, non functioning beach umbrella and soft side cooler with zipper which didn't work. Walmart is close by so we picked up what we needed there for the beach. We used balcony with table all the time while at condo; great view. This is great central location on this side of the island whether exploring north or south.

Thanks Teri, nobody told me about the beach stuff being broken. I asked my house keeper to get rid of the junk and get new. Thank you again for the heads up

I am retired Engineer with the Alaska DOT, in my last 10 years with the DOT I began to invest, manage and maintain rental properties.
Since leaving Alaska and the DOT, I got my Real Estate Sales license in Washington where I currently reside.
My wife and I like to travel and we fell in love with Hawaii! Thus we bought our condo on the Big Island and have opened it up to the vacationer that would love to visit, but don't wish to be lodged in a hotel. The condo allows short term visitors to enjoy the benefits of being on vacation with out giving up the comforts of being "home".
We frequently take our children and grand children with us thus we fixed the condo to sleep 6.
