This unit is a small apartment in the Shenandoah Valley about an hour between both Roanoke and Charlottesville, Virginia. This private property is surrounded with beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
This fully-furnished apartment is part of a post and beam style barn/building. It features hardwood floors with radiant floor heat. It has a bedroom with a full-size bed and a sitting room. In addition to a full bath with a double vanity, there is also a kitchenette including a small oven/stovetop, microwave, and full-size refrigerator/freezer. The cupboards are furnished with dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
Guests will have access to the unit as described above; this unit has a private entrance. Also, washer and dryer are available for guests.
Your host lives in a separate building on the property and are therefore available to assist with any problems or questions.
As the name indicates, this property is a small, family farm with chickens, guinea fowl, ducks, rabbits, and a few cats. When guinea hens "raise an alarm," it is sometimes noisy. However, it's a 20 acre property with plenty of room for people and animals and therefore the guinea hens' alarm is typically a distance away from the buildings and people.
Guest should drive slowly upon entering the property as a guinea hen may run across the road occasionally. Guests may have a tour of the farm and/or animals upon request. Guests are expected to keep all doors to building/unit closed as the farm cats are not to enter the building. No pets allowed.
