Our home is located 1/4 mile off roadway tucked among oak and maple trees where 8 chickens offer fresh eggs each morning. A raised bed veggie garden as well as as flower garden are nestled around a grove of azaleas just off our wrap-around porch .
Furnishings are a blend of country and antiques. Visitors often describe the air of tranquility and peacefulness they experience. David and Janice are retired. He runs a small video production company and she is a master hostess. Other members of the family include Savin and Alexus our two females dogs and Mr. Purr our twenty pound Tom cat. Alexus barks and loves to be petted. Savin ignores unless one is feeding her. Mr. Purr is charming personality enjoys purring chasing Alexus. We are parents to three adult children all of whom are entrepreneurs in the health and arts fields.
The bed room is downstairs with a private bath located just a hallway from the kitchen. The house has wi-fi. A breakfast of eggs or cereal can be enjoyed on the porch or kitchen.
We have traveled to Europe on several occasions and to many sites in the US. We both enjoy conversations with new acquaintances and are available to assist guests in directions to nearly by locations, such as the famous Hiddenite Emerald Mine just 15 miles north of our farm, or to downtown Statesville, to the Yadkin Valley Wineries, to Lake Norman, etc.
Our home is six miles north of Statesville just 18 miles from the Hiddenite Emerald Mines (NE) and 20 miles from the Yadkin Valley Wine Trails. 20 miles south is Lake Norman. Statesville downtown has several excellent eateries as well a coffee shops.
