Thank you for your stay and feedback. I'm sorry we could not meet all your needs and I appreciate the kitchen suggestions. I was very punctual on all of your requests even the one an hour before your arrival informing me of the extra guest with requests for a bed, bedding and blankets and a chair. We do not allow for 5 guests as stated in our ad due to fire code and our insurance plan so we did not appreciate your lack of respect for the rules of our home. I did not cancel or charge you extra but did not appreciate the way you handled this but still wanted your family to enjoy their vacation.
The rules state #1, please do not leave fireplace or base board heaters on to prevent fires. You will notice I have fire extinguishers in every room to prevent our home from. here is my text word for word to you. "please do not leave fire place going when you leave or we will not allow the use of it. Thank you." no anger, just a reminder. you also managed to leave every heater and every light in the place on for the entire day. again, we just reminded you in a friendly manner to please turn off when you leave. Here in whistler we try to cut down on our carbon footprint whenever possible and avoid FIRES all year. Mother nature is trying to burn us down every summer so do our best to keep household fires to a minimum. I again apologize if you regarded my texts as harsh, I used plan english with please and thank yous.
We not not offer face cloths to our guests or even use them in our house and I informed you of that. Im sorry this was my first No to you on your trip. I brought in extra towels too and your family of five used 13 towels in a week and 16 rolls of toilet paper. that is a lot. I supplied all the extra cooking supplies you requested too, a rotisserie chicken pan, cooling rack and additional cutting boards. every item of your home kitchen is not guaranteed to be in ours. the kitchen is very well kept and stocked with all new cooking items. There is a full knife block in the kitchen with serrated blades too but thank you for the bread knife. In the future, our next guests would likely not eat your left overs to old food so please refer to the rules again and recycle your items which should be and compost the remainder.
In the future I would recommend being honest with your initial booking and that you are a family of 5. Thank you, Steve
