Hi, I am offering a twin-bed bedroom in a light, airy and clean 3-bedroom apartment.
The bed/mattress is very comfortable. The linens are 100% cotton.
Wireless Internet is included.
The apartment is on the second floor of a newly (and tastefully) renovated turn-of-the-century brick building on a tree-lined block that is know for its artist lofts. It is located east of Williamsburg in a safe family-oriented neighborhood in Bushwick. (Other parts of Bushwick can be more industrial and/or sketchy.) A community garden blooms next door. The apartment has lots of character—exposed brick, wood floors, wood trim and good light. It also has a great layout that works well for sharing the space.
All bookings require a minimum of 2 nights and could be long term depending on your situation and what we negotiate.
It's just a short 1.5 blocks to the L Train and a 20-minute zip to central Union Square. It's a quick walk to the M train, which takes you down to the Lower East Side in 30 mins.
If you have a car, street parking is easy.
I am a cultural anthropologist and a former restaurateur, so I would be happy to give you the lowdown on off beat places to explore and venues where you can find tasty food in the area and around the city.
Kitchen area for cooking and eating
It depends on the guest.

I'm a cultural anthropologist, professor and photographer who works at universities in both New York City and Ithaca. I frequently go to films and museums and have travelled and stayed in many places in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Good food (especially street food) and wine are a passion (I once owned a restaurant). Born and raised in the New York City area, I've also spent a lot of time in Ithaca, so I know both of these places very well and am happy to point you in the direction of cool places, both on and off the map.
