We've been vacation rental devotees for over ten years, renting properties throughout the world including Spain, France, Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica and French Polynesia. Staying in private homes provide the unique opportunity to experience local life while being immersed in the culture of a particular place. When traveling with friends or extended family, we especially enjoy hanging out or preparing a meal together with the option of retreating to a private corner to nap, read or have a glass of wine.
As third generation California native, I love So Cal beach towns. While searching for a vacation property that could be enjoyed by extended family, I fell in love with Ole Hanson's vision of this Spanish Village by the Sea. Much of it still survives in the friendly atmosphere, white stucco and red tile roofs sprinkeled throughout the city's charming historic downtown village. South West San Clemente is hands down the best location in town. Casa Miramar San Clemente was lovingly restored and maintained by previous owners. The Bungalow's redwood ceilings, original fireplace tile and front door are exquisite. I feel exceedingly fortunate to be the caretaker of this historic gem. I hope all who stay here become as enamored with it as I am.
