The actual room itself was OK – basic but the bed was comfy and the room a good size. It was also good to have your own bathroom. The problems were more to do with the host, who didn't seem to want to have people staying with her. She woke me twice one night at 1.30 a.m. and then at 4 a.m. to tell me I was too noisy (I was sleeping) and I had to shut the window in my room because it was stopping her sleeping. She also slept till the early hours of the afternoon most days and got very annoyed when I was up (at about 10 a.m.) having a shower or washing my face in the sink. The noise seemed to offend her greatly as she would come out of her room, huff and puff and then slam doors. She didn't seem to like opening windows or shutters so the flat permanently smelt. This wasn't helped by the fact there was constantly rotting fruit (at one point a bowl with mouldy soup and an onion with flies all over it) in the kitchen. The kitchen was so dirty and messy I didn't feel I could cook there. Another issue was the host's delicate mental state. She often claimed she was ill and having some kind of panic attack. At one point she even made me phone her an ambulance, hold her hand, go get her fresh underwear and stripped off in front of me before the paramedics came. By the last week of my stay I felt most unwelcome and couldn't wait to leave. I'm just sorry I can't give a more positive review... but I have to be honest.
Jules told me that the room was great at the first day she come in and never talked with me about any problem in the house /room/host, what i can conclude that she is dishonest and not good person to deal. Besides that she was noisy during the night, keeping her laptop with sound, speaking loudly at the phone until late and because that i had to call her atention several times and i didn't sleep at all. This flat is a ground floor (near to the street), so the window in the room shouldn't be open during all night or all day without anyone in home, and Jules did that. For the fact i had i almost fainth/ collapse in my house and you had to call an ambulance i feel really sorry for your discrimination and for your unwillingness to help. I had to be honest also.
Joana's cosy room is a perfect place to stay, the room was very clean with a large bed, and a wardrobe. There's a clean bathroom and a kitchen that has everything for cooking. WiFi worked very well. Metro is 10min away. The host Joanna is a very lovely and intelligent person, made me feel very welcome and I enjoyed our dinner chatting very much. Definitely recommended.
